The mission of the Ottawa NKBA Chapter is to promote the ideals and values of the NKBA. To enhance member success and excellence, promote professionalism and ethical business practices, and provide leadership and direction for the kitchen and bath industry worldwide.
The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) is a non-profit trade association that promotes the professionalism of the kitchen and bath industry. Established in 1963 as a network of kitchen dealers, it has grown into the premier association of distributors, retailers, remodelers, manufacturers, fabricators, installers, designers, and other professionals. The NKBA’s certification program emphasizes continuing education and career development and includes designers and professionals in all segments of the kitchen and bath industry. The NKBA has become a valuable resource for both professionals and consumers. The Ottawa Chapter was established in 2010.
We accredit programs that offer students a specialty in kitchen and bath design. Visit College and University Accreditation to view the list of NKBA-accredited colleges and universities. Students who graduate from these programs are prepared to work in the kitchen and bath industry and qualify to sit for the examination to earn the NKBA designation Associate Kitchen & Bath Designer (AKBD) upon graduation.
Our Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) is the largest trade show worldwide for the kitchen and bath industry. Every year, we bring hundreds of exhibitors together to showcase new ideas, products, and services.
Professional Resource Library & NKBA Magazine
The NKBA offers a complete Professional Resource Library for the trade, ranging from basic textbooks to advanced and specialized design books. In addition, we publish NKBA Magazine each quarter to meet the interests and concerns of our members.
